Anything That Might Go Wrong

The-Shop

The support team in Oklahoma City includes a special shop in Yukon, Oklahoma simply called “The Shop”.

Ted and Richard were our go-to guys looking over the bikes very carefully. The request?  “Fix anything you think might go wrong in the next 15,000 miles.”

They tuned and replaced some seals, adjusted chains and belts, replaced tires, installed CB radios. They were working on the two oldest of the six bikes making the trip, both of which originally had spoked wheels.

Spokes on Harley-Davidson’s means tubes in the tires. Since we want our best chance for fixing a flat with a small repair kit, we had them change the wheels to “Fatboy” style solid wheels so we are now tubeless. These guys have bought into the mission of Miles With A Mission; donating much of their labor on a whole bunch of expertise. They really know what they’re doing.  Thanks guys for supporting the mission!
