We had quite the adventure today…. never any danger really… but we were literally sitting in the shade watching some very ingenious mechanics beat, and then weld Brads front wheel back into usability.

It’s a bit painful watching even the best available shade-tree ingenuity experiment on your bike. But, what option do you have? It brought new meaning to the phrase “feeling like a Guinea Pig”.

Brad’s front tire came in contact with a lane barrier earlier in the day and it bent his wheel just enough that it started to slowly lose air.

We deduced that it was coming from the bead due to a slight bend in the rim from the impact. After some creative repair techniques(including careful welding), we’re all fixed now and moving again.

And speaking of Guinea Pigs, guess what we had for lunch?
