Every journey includes important milestones and today we reached one. From our earliest days of planning several years ago we had hoped to see a handful of notable sites along the way. Today we reached the The Hand in The Desert in northern Chile.

A year ago (February 24, 2011), the first team of three riders (The Extreme Team) navigated the same sand and rocky paths over to take a similar photo. As you can see, we arrived at dusk. It was a beautiful site to behold.
